Priyanka Chavda

Development Coordinator

Priyanka has gained experience in both production and at a leading agency, Casarotto Ramsay, where she worked as an agent's assistant for four years. She later joined Red Planet Pictures as their development assistant and worked on Death in Paradise as an assistant script editor. Alongside her work as a freelance reader for Film4, Element Pictures and Sky, she worked as a project assessor for BFI Scotland and The Uncertain Kingdom. Priyanka joined The Lighthouse Film & TV as the Development Coordinator in 2023.

She is dedicated to promoting equal representation in the industry, having previously served as the Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator at Casarotto Ramsay, where she played a key role in setting up their outreach programme, including their partnership with Talent Tap. Since 2021, she has worked with Little-by-Little Films to design a series of training workshops aimed at supporting disabled talent in collaboration with FWD-Doc and Channel 4. More recently, Priyanka was selected to be part of Creative Access's Steering Group 2023-2024, a training programme for future charity trustees that brings together individuals from the Creative Access Community.

Priyanka is passionate about working with new talent. In 2023, she was an Associate Producer on the BFI-funded short film Pillow Chocolate by Charlie Tidmas and produced Name for Channel 4's Random Acts. Priyanka is committed to bringing distinctive, visually impressive and under-represented stories to screen, with a focus on Asian representation.
